Hi, I'm Miss Paige
About Me
I'm so glad you found the rhythmically regulated website! I hope this will be a great resource for all things social emotional learning, educational neuroscience, and music! I firmly believe that music is part of our makeup as people. We are all naturally musical and rhythmic beings. If we can harness the power of music we can achieve a state of calm, regulation, and learn to live in harmony with those around us.
I have been an elementary general music specialist for 10 years. I have spent nearly a decade at Westwood Elementary in Greenwood, Indiana, where I teach K–5 general music, choir, and Orff ensemble. I have a passion for fostering interpersonal skills and developing character and leadership through music education. I present professional development sessions throughout Indiana, teach early childhood with the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, and assist with the musicals at Greenwood Middle and High Schools. I received both my master’s and bachelor’s degrees in music education from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. In May of 2026 I will have earned my certificate in Applied Educational Neuroscience.
This website is inspired by Dr. Lori Desautels, who has created Applied Educational Neuroscience. This is a framework that is trauma-responsive and merges brain science and education. The goal is to support both students and teachers through co-regulation, nervous system states, and neuroanatomy. The shift from discipline as a form of punishment to a form of leading and guiding students to help them understand their behavior allows us as educators to better serve our students.
